Umezaki Japanese Sweets

One of Umezaki's most popular sweets is its "Meikyo-do" cake,
a traditional Japanese sweet made by wrapping white bean paste in a soft, fluffy dough and then baking it.
The cake takes its name from one of Takahama's best known scenic spots "Meikyo-do Cave" in Shiroyama Park, and are made into the shape of the ancientJapanese 'Yata no Kagami' (八咫鏡), a sacred mirror that is part of the Imperial Regalia of Japan.
